VS Runway Show

Guess who's back? That's right it's Ms. Fashionista coming at cha!!

I've just finished watching the fashion show and well am pleasantly surprised. Just wanted to quickly share my thoughts - Alessandra I have to say is one of my favorite models of all time!! She looked amazing especially in the "Mother Nature" outfit. Loved watching Heidi Klum strut her stuff down the runway (all models should pay homage to her).

Clips of the next VS model competition added a bit of excitement to the show. It is interesting VS allowed the public to participate by voting online for the next VS model (congratulations VS for being innovative by turning the World Wide Web into a fabolous judging competition and by extension interactive runway).

Overall VS did a wonderful job!!!

What Defines Feminism

The 2008 Presidential campaign has been one exciting event thus far. Neither party has been short on entertainment; however, I must say one party has been more entertaining than the other and that party is, the Republican Party. In today’s AM New York an article titled “Feminists: We fought for this?” featured living and dead past female Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates and feminists weighing in on Sarah Palin as the Republican VP pick. The discussion panel consisted of Shirley Chisholm, Geraldine Ferraro, Bella Abzug, Barbara Jordan Susan B. Anthony and Hillary Clinton (interesting women no one can argue). All of the women were either amused or dismayed at the Republican’s choice. Geraldine’s comment was the most hilarious. Chisholm asks Ferraro why she’s been quiet throughout the entire discussion. Healing Is A Journey - Not Always A Linear One

Image courtesy of 2313glitterave Major life events have happened over a period of three years. As one would expect with such events a few things took a back seat - one of them being my health. I wouldn't say that I'm a fitness guru but I've always had an affinity toward living a healthy lifestyle (believe that's a trait that runs in my family). Now I'm moving towards getting back on track and expecting my entries to keep me (or is it make me or is it hold me) accountable. This week has been a roller coaster. With exactly one green drink in my week I can't say I excelled at keeping on track with my new eating habits. A quick snapshot of actual meals this week: Breakfast - either muesli or green juice (had a bagel one day this week). Lunch - home cooked meals - soups, veggie based meals ( hungryroot ) and today pasta (like flour pasta) with chick peas and broccoli. Rachel Zoe Attack?

With all of the coverage on the nation’s economic crisis, I am surprised that I’m still here typing away on my Mac (by the way would mentioning Mac be considered a “product placement” and if so Mr. Steve Jobs I want my money) and not pulling my hair out or worrying myself to death (neither one would be productive). After all of the bleak reports we can expect to receive semi-good news (hopefully). Congress acknowledges the need and wants to resolve the crisis ASAP. Listening to Mr. Bush this morning surmising the revised bill layout that appears to address the major concerns of the average person such as; how will the bail out be paid for and what exactly it will be used for, I am a little more confident that the proposed bill will be passed and that businesses and families can try to get back to the “normal” way of life; however there is one issue that arose from the crisis that I found interesting – people’s reaction to entertainment shown on T.V.
